Handheld Reading Companion
Just like the original OrCam Read, you can use the OrCam Read 3 as your personal, handheld reading companion. Simply point and click to read text instantly from any printed or digital surface. OrCam Read 3 can capture full pages, increasing efficiency and supporting improved reading comprehension.
Since OrCam Read 3 operates offline and does not require an internet connection, it can be used virtually anywhere, whether you are at home, at work, school, or on-the-go.
OrCam uses highly accurate OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to recognize and read text through the device’s speaker or through any connected Bluetooth device, such as earphones or a Bluetooth speaker (both included).
Interactive Smart Reading
Interactive Smart Reading allows the user to find and jump to specific words or content of interest. Navigate directly to the information you’re seeking. Or, use the new Summarization feature to provide a summary of scanned text, whether just a few sentences or an entire page. (Note: Summarization requires a Wifi connection and is currently only available in English.)
Next Generation Magnifier
OrCam Read 3 adds magnification to your reading experience. By connecting the device to your computer or tablet through Wifi, you’ll have a fully customizable, browser-based magnifier accessible through your personal OrCam account.
Use the magnification feature to zoom in and out of text, images, and graphics, read printed or handwritten text aloud, and even extract text to save for the future. You’ll be able to customize settings such as contrast, text color, background, voice preferences, and more.
You can either choose to read the magnified text on your own, or have the device read it aloud to you. It reads handwritten texts in 10 languages and supports over 140 languages for printed text. It can also translate text to your preferred language.
OrCam Read + AI
While using OrCam’s Smart Magnifier, you can take advantage of the “Just Ask” feature that transforms the device into an interactive AI assistant. Using natural language, you can ask any question, whether related to your text or other topics of interest, and receive instant answers.
Stationary Reader
OrCam Read 3 comes with a specially designed stand that transforms the device into a handsfree, stationary reader. Easily place the device at the top of the stand with any printed or digital text at the base, and the OrCam will read it aloud to you. You’ll be able to operate the device through its buttons or by using vocal commands or intuitive hand gestures.
When finished, the lightweight, portable stand is collapsible for easy storage.
