Helping one person at a time achieve greater independence
As of 2016, there were reportedly over 14,000 individuals in Vermont with a visual disability, according to statistics from the National Federation of the Blind. VT Low Vision Support Groups
Hosted by the Vermont Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (VABVI), PALS (Peer Assisted Learning and Support) Groups provide a forum for adult clients to share ideas and feelings in a group setting. At meetings, clients discuss a variety of topics related to visual impairment, including the use of adaptive technology, and receive support from others dealing with vision loss.
