[Music] [Text: OrCam Read. For People with Reading Difficulties] [Michelle Catterson, Headmistress, MHS] So here at Moon Hall all of our pupils are dyslexic, which means that they have difficulties sometimes with their reading, with their spelling, with their writing. The OrCam Read is fantastic and they just absolutely loved it. They found it really easy. As soon as you switch to on they were automatically using the picture function to take images of text and listening to what was getting read back to them. So straight away within the first couple of minutes they were using the device. [Device] Which of the following answers is false? [Harry de Diepold, Year 11 Pupil] It's really helpful you can listen to it and memorize it that way. It helps a lot by just reading and keeping it all in. [Kate Eastwood, Head of English, MHS] Incredibly impressed the photo technology is absolutely amazing [Text: Advanced Vision. 13 Mega Pixel sensor captures the entire marked text instantly] [Kate] it can read things that are laminated, it can read from computer screens, it can read from whiteboards, so it works much more like a phone app or something like that would work. So for them it's very much pick up and use. So it's been brilliant. It just removes the barriers. It enables them to have that independent access. [Leo de Diepold, Year 11 Pupil] I think people would definitely benefit from it. It's small, it can fit into a pocket and you can just take it round the school and then you're able to just scan a piece of text and it can read it back to you. [Daisy Dailey, Year 7 Pupil] It's very comfortable for you to hold in your fingers because it's like a pen but a little bit like square. Square pen really. [Michelle] I would absolutely recommend the OrCam Read device to other schools. It has completely enhanced our learning experience here at the school and made things so much more easy for the pupils to access. [Text: OrCam Read. www.orcam.com]
